Father Jorge Of Our Lady Of Lebanon

Father Jorge I. Perales was born in Havana, Cuba. At age 9 he came to the United States and has lived in Miami ever since. After graduating from high school, he entered St. John Vianney Seminary, Miami, Florida where he began his studies for the priesthood. He concluded these studies at St. Vincent de Paul Seminary, Boynton Beach, Florida and was ordained a priest by the then archbishop of Miami, the Most Reverend Edward A. McCarthy (+2005). He has served in several parishes in the Archdiocese of Miami and as professor at St. Vincent de Paul Seminary, Boynton Beach, and St. John Vianney Seminary, Miami. Father Perales received bi-ritual faculties in the Maronite Rite in 1992 and since then has helped at Our Lady of Lebanon Church, Miami and for one year worked with the Maronite Bishop of Mexico. The Archbishop of Miami, the Most Reverend John C. Favalora granted permission for Father Perales to serve in the Maronite Diocese of St. Maron of Brooklyn under its bishop, the Most Reverend Gregory Mansour, who assigned Father Perales as assistant at Our Lady of Lebanon Church, Miami, beginning January 6, 2006, Feast of the Epiphany of the Lord.
