Father Elie Saade, OLM, Ph.D.


Father Bassam Saade was born and raised in Lebanon. He received MBA degree from the Lebanese University and was employed at Bank Byblos. In 1986 he resided in Pittsburgh, PA and was a parishioner at Our Lady of Victory Maronite Catholic Church. His seminary studies were in Washington DC. As a seminarian, he spent the summers serving at different parishes, including Our Lady of Lebanon in Miami, Fl. He earned two additional master’s degrees, a Master’s Degree in Divinity in 1990 and a Master’s Degree in Art of Theology in 1991. He was ordained deacon at St. George in Union Town, PA. in March 1992. He was ordained on October 17, 1992 in Pittsburgh, PA.

Father Bassam has served as pastor at several parishes. He has served at St. Charbel & St. Maron in Detroit, Michigan, as well as at Our Lady of Lebanon Cathedral in Brooklyn, NY. In 1993 he served as the pastor at St. Louis Gonzaga in Utica, New York and remained there until 2009. With Fr. Bassam’s guidance the community grew, renovations implemented on the church, the church hall, and the rectory.

As well purchased a building for religious education to serve the over 150 children in the Catechism program. While in Utica Fr. Bassam enrolled into a doctorate program in Pastoral Planning and Counseling at the Catholic University of America
and graduated in 2011. In 2009, Father Bassam accepted a new assignment at St. Jude Maronite Church in Orlando, FL. There he served for ten years; the parish flourished under his guidance. New programs for the parishioners were created, and many events took place. This enabled the parish to payoff their mortgage. In 2018, Father Bassam transferred to Jacksonville, Florida to serve the mission at St. Maron Maronite Catholic Church. He was there for one year, in September first of 2019, Father Bassam accepted a transfer to Our Lady of Lebanon in Miami, Florida. Our parish is infamous for its Lebanese Festival in January and Father Bassam lead this event with a stride. With his leadership the festival was a success, especially since it has not occurred for the past two years. Our First Communion celebration though delayed due to Covid- 19 pandemic, Father Bassam had the ceremonies for our wonderful 30 children. Our parish is looking forward to many prosperous years with Father Bassam as our pastor and spiritual leader.



Mr. Joseph Lahoud has been a parishioner of Our Lady Of Lebanon since 1984. His wife and children areactive participants in many of the parish activities and events. He was ordained sub-deacon on August 15, 2018 at Our Lady Of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church by Chor-bishop Michael Thomas.


In the United States we have two Maronites Eparchies.
The Most Reverend Gregory Mansour is our Bishop for the Eastern Diocese. He resides in Brooklyn, New York.

The Most Reverend Bishop Elias Zaidan is the Maronite Bishop of the Western Eparchy. https://eparchy.org/
